Dr. Alexander Wright is a board-certified ophthalmologist with special focus in cataract and refractive surgery, including laser vision correction.  A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Wright is also an esteemed member of the Canadian Ophthalmology Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Dr. Wright earned his bachelor’s degree at Simon Fraser University and his Master of Science at The University of Waterloo. He completed both his MD and his PhD at the University of British Columbia before completing his training in ophthalmic surgery at the University of Saskatchewan. He also has a passion for research and teaching; he has published numerous journal articles, presented at various national and international meetings, and actively participates in medical student teaching through the University of British Columbia.

His experience helping thousands of patients achieve their best vision has only deepened his commitment to patient care and his passion for eye health.
